Captain Scott
Scott's deep connection with the sea began in the Bay of Islands, where he spent his youth cruising the Bay of Islands, Hauraki Gulf, South Pacific, and Australian coastline aboard the family sailing yacht. This early exposure to the maritime world sparked a passion for travel and sailing that led him to pursue formal maritime education at the New Zealand Maritime School, earning a Diploma in Nautical Science and an Unlimited Master Mariner license. He embarked on his professional seafaring career at 18, securing a cadetship with Carnival, the world’s largest cruise ship operator.
Scott's career highlights include navigating the iconic Queen Mary II and captaining a 77-meter superyacht in the Mediterranean and Middle East. Now, with a desire to balance his maritime passion with family life, Scott has established Silver Wave Yacht Charters. He is eager to welcome you aboard and share some of the world’s most exquisite cruising grounds.

It was a great time to unwind with our team...
We hired Silver Wave for our studio's staff party and absolutely loved it! It was a great time to unwind with our team and see more of our backyard. We had plenty of space on the front deck to lounge, share a grazing platter, and pop open some bubbles while getting a salty breeze in our hair. 10/10 recommend for a unique experience in the Bay.
